지난 9월 12일(금)부터 13일(토)까지, 산업공학과 교직원과 연구원 16명이 함께한 교직원 워크숍이 성황리에 개최되었습니다! 🎉

UNIST 산업지능화연구소, 100억 원 규모 국책연구 참여 — ‘모두를 위한 AI 지식 플랫폼’
우리 학과가 참여하고 있는 산업지능화연구소가 100억 원 규모의 대형 국책과제에 선정되었습니다. 이번 프로젝트는 ‘모두를 위한 설명 가능한 인공지능(XAI)’ 기술 개발을 목표로 하며, AI의 투명성과 신뢰성을 높이는 중요한 연구로 기대를 모으고 있습니다. 👏
산학협력의 모범 사례가 또 하나 탄생했습니다!
현대자동차 제조솔루션본부와 함께 진행된 데이터 분석 부트캠프를 통해

🤝 Industrial Engineering Faculty and Staff Workshop
|

|
|
From September 12th (Fri) to 13th (Sat), the Industrial Engineering Department successfully held a faculty and staff workshop with 16 faculty members and researchers! 🎉
This workshop was held in conjunction with the ‘2025 New Industry Convergence Technology Seminar,’ providing a meaningful opportunity to share the latest technology trends and industrial convergence cases. 💡✨ Beyond a simple seminar, it served as a platform for communication and collaboration where we designed the department’s future vision together and explored directions for cooperation. 🌟

Masked Time Series Modeling with Seasonal-Trend Decomposition for Time Series Forecasting
A special seminar was held to share the latest research achievements in time series forecasting.
The presentation introduced a novel modeling method using seasonal-trend decomposition, sparking insightful discussions and lively Q&A sessions. 🧠
💰 Major Research Grant Secured
A great example of university–industry collaboration!
Students participated in the 2025 Data Analytics Bootcamp co-hosted by Hyundai Motor Company’s Manufacturing Solutions Division,
where they gained valuable, hands-on experience in real-world data analytics. 💼

Jaemin Park, CEO of Tyroscope and proud graduate of our department,
was selected by Forbes Korea as one of the “Y30s Rising AI Leaders.”
We are so proud of his outstanding contribution to the AI field and his recognition as one of Korea’s brightest young innovators! 🎊
Three Industrial Engineering students Sunwook Kim, Chanhee Bae, and Seonggeun Ahn
received the Student Achievement Award in recognition of their contributions to the university and the student community.
Congratulations on your well-deserved recognition! 👏
Double majoring in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration,
Minkyum Kim achieved an incredible feat by winning 1st place globally at the 5th International Quant Championship (IQC)
hosted by WorldQuant, a global asset management firm based in the U.S. 🎉
📺 Appearing on tvN ‘You Quiz on the Block’! Student Mingyeom Kim will appear on tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ airing on Wednesday, November 19th! Don’t miss this opportunity to hear the story of a world champion directly. We ask for your support and viewership! 📺✨

On October 30, around 60 students — freshmen and current students — gathered for the 2025 Talk Concert.
It was a warm and engaging time where students shared experiences, discussed academic and career concerns, and built stronger connections across different year groups. 💬
