한국신뢰성학회 춘계학술대회 우수 발표논문상 수상! 🎖️

🎓 박사학위 디펜스 성공!
김경호 박사님 – “Data-Driven Prognostics of Machining Tools: Under Various Machining Conditions: Applications in Milling Processes” 라는 제목의 논문으로 박사 학위 논문 심사를 성공적으로 통과했습니다. 이 논문은 밀링 가공 과정에서 발생하는 다양한 가공 조건에 따른 데이터 기반 공구 수명 예측 문제를 다루고 있습니다. 수상과 함께 박사학위까지! 더블 축하해요! 🎊
이명훈 박사님 – “Development of Knowledge Graph Construction and Completion Methods using Language Models for Practical Applications” 이라는 제목의 논문으로 박사 학위 논문 심사를 통과했습니다. 이 논문은 언어 모델을 활용하여 도메인별 지식 그래프 구축 프레임워크와 지식 그래프 완성 모델을 제안하여 실용적인 응용을 가능하게 하는 내용을 담고 있습니다. 오랜 연구 여정의 결실을 맺으셨네요! 축하드려요! 🎊

🏆김민겸 학부생, 세계 퀀트 대회(IQC)에서 빛나는 성과!
산업공학과·경영학과에 재학 중인 김민겸 학생이 2025 International Quant Championship (IQC)에서 놀라운 성적을 거뒀습니다. Stage 1에서는 국내·세계 1위, Stage 2에서는 국내 1위·세계 2위를 차지하며 ‘발표 우수팀’에도 이름을 올렸는데요. 오는 9월 29~30일 싱가포르에서 열리는 본선에도 당당히 진출하게 되었습니다. 좋은 결과가 있기를 기원합니다. 🎉

💼 COOP 인턴십으로 한층 성장한 감다정 학생의 이야기
산업공학과 20학번 감다정 학생은 HD현대중공업에서 16주간 COOP 인턴십을 진행했습니다. 그 과정에서 실제 산업 현장을 경험하며 진로에 대한 확신을 얻고, 프로젝트 성과까지 만들어냈다는데요. 값진 경험을 통해 더 큰 성장을 이룬 멋진 여정을 전해주었습니다. 💡

프로젝트랩 학생들의 열정과 창의력이 빛났던 최종 발표회가 성공적으로 마무리되었습니다. 한 학기 동안 갈고닦은 실력을 뽐내는 학생들의 모습을 보니 정말 뿌듯했어요. 혁신적인 아이디어들과 완성도 높은 결과물들을 보며 우리 학과의 미래가 더욱 밝다는 걸 느꼈답니다!

Dr. Yoontae Hwang, the first Ph.D. student of Professor Yongjae Lee, has been appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Data Science at Pusan National University.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Hwang on this new chapter in his career!

Dr. Kyung-Ho Kim – Congratulations to Dr. Gyeongho Kim on successfully defending his Ph.D. thesis titled “Data-Driven Prognostics of Machining Tools: Under Various Machining Conditions: Applications in Milling Processes.” His dissertation addresses data-driven prognostics for tool life under various machining conditions in milling processes. Double congratulations on receiving an award along with your Ph.D.! 🎊
Dr. Myung-Hoon Lee – Congratulations to Dr. Myoung Hoon Lee on passing his Ph.D. thesis defense with his dissertation titled “Development of Knowledge Graph Construction and Completion Methods using Language Models for Practical Applications.” His research proposes a domain-specific knowledge graph construction framework and a knowledge graph completion model, both of which utilize language models for practical applications. Congratulations on the culmination of your long research journey! 🎊

🏆 Mingyeom Kim Shines at the International Quant Championship(IQC)!
Min-Gyeom Kim, a student of Industrial Engineering and Business Administration, achieved outstanding results at the 2025 International Quant Championship (IQC). He secured 1st place in Korea and worldwide in Stage 1, and 1st in Korea and 2nd worldwide in Stage 2, while also being recognized as an ‘Outstanding Presentation Team.’ Now, he’s heading to the finals in Singapore on September 29–30. We couldn’t be prouder! 🎉

💼 Growth Through a COOP Internship: Da-jung Gam’s Journey
Da-Jung Gam (Class of 2020, Industrial Engineering) completed a 16-week COOP internship at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries. During her time there, she gained valuable hands-on experience, discovered greater clarity in her career path, and even delivered project achievements. It was a meaningful journey of learning and growth that she was excited to share. 💡
