The innovative technological prowess of the UNIST Department of Industrial Engineering (IE) is leading the way in transforming local public health services. Yong-geun Yoo, a dedicated student in our department and CEO of the startup ‘MAIDA,’ signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ulsan Bukgu Health Center on the 27th to establish an “AI-driven prevention and management system for sarcopenia.”

Starting with this collaboration, MAIDA plans to further refine its AI algorithms and expand its smart healthcare services both domestically and internationally.

The Department of Industrial Engineering is incredibly proud of Yong-geun Yoo for enhancing the university’s reputation through his creativity and technical leadership.
