이용재 교수님 득녀 소식
UNIST 가족에 새로운 구성원이 추가되었습니다! 이용재 교수님 2025년 5월에 건강한 공지님을 출산하였으며, 이름은 ‘이해리’ 입니다.. 교수님과 가족분들에게 진심으로 축하의 말씀을 전합니다.

27명의 학생이 10개 팀으로 나뉘어 7개 주제로 동서발전과 에이테크와 함께 산학 프로젝트를 진행합니다!
구체적인 주제는 다음과 같아요.
- 주제1: 비계량 태양광 설비 용량 추정 모델 개발
- 주제2: 하루 전 개별 태양광 발전량 예측모델 개발
- 주제3: 유연탄 가격 예측지수 개발
- 주제4: 안전작업허가서 기반 안전지수 개발
- 주제5: 석탄 자연발화 예측지수 개발
- 주제6: 대중교통 Origin-Destination 추정 모델
- 주제7: 고객 수요 및 승선률 예측을 통한 할인 적용 모듈 개발

개강총회 성료
3월 18일(화) 저녁 6시, 쿠우쿠우에서 교수님들과 학생들이 함께하는 개강총회가 성공적으로 진행되었습니다! 많은 학생들이 참석해 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다. 🍽️
새내기학부 대상 전공설명회
지난 4월 29일(화) 오후 6시, 산업공학과에서 새내기학부 학생들을 위한 전공설명회가 열렸습니다. 이번 설명회에는 약 90명의 새내기 학생들이 참석해 뜨거운 관심을 보였으며, 참가 학생들에게 산업공학의 다양한 매력을 소개하는 의미 있는 자리가 되었습니다.

4월 25일(금)~26일(토), 경주 켄싱턴리조트에서 정보바이오융합대학 소속 전공새내기(2학년) 대상 배움터가 열렸습니다. 김성일 학과장님과 함께 11명의 학생이 참여하여 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다. 🏨

- Professor Kim Seong-il: Mid-career Researcher from the National Research Foundation of Korea (approximately KRW 650 million over 3 years)
- Professor Park Sae-rom: Outstanding New Researcher from the National Research Foundation of Korea (approximately KRW 430 million over 3 years)
- Professor Kim Young-dae: Outstanding New Researcher from the National Research Foundation of Korea (approximately KRW 490 million over 2 years)
Professor Yongjae Lee Welcomes a Baby Daughter
A new member has joined the UNIST family! Professor Yongjae Lee welcomed a healthy baby girl on May 2025, named “Lee Haeri”. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Professor Lee and his family.

27 students divided into 10 teams will be working on 7 industry-academic projects with EWP (East-West Power) and A-Tech!
Here are the specific project topics:
- Topic 1: Development of Non-metered Solar Power Capacity Estimation Model
- Topic 2: Development of Day-ahead Individual Solar Power Generation Prediction Model
- Topic 3: Development of Bituminous Coal Price Prediction Index
- Topic 4: Development of Safety Index Based on Work Permits
- Topic 5: Development of Coal Spontaneous Combustion Prediction Index
- Topic 6: Public Transportation Origin-Destination Estimation Model
- Topic 7: Development of Discount Application Module through Customer Demand and Boarding Rate Prediction

Successful Opening Ceremony
On Tuesday, March 18th at 6 PM, a successful opening ceremony with professors and students was held at Kuu Kuu! Many students attended and had a wonderful time. 🍽️
Major Information Session for Freshmen
On Tuesday, April 29 at 6 PM, the Department of Industrial Engineering held a major information session for first-year undergraduate students.
Approximately 90 freshmen attended, showing great interest, and the event served as a meaningful opportunity to introduce the various appeals of Industrial Engineering.👨🎓👩🎓

Sophomore Retreat
From Friday, April 25 to Saturday, April 26, a retreat was held at Kensington Resort in Gyeongju for second-year students majoring in disciplines within the School of Interdisciplinary Bioscience and Bioengineering.
Eleven students participated along with Professor Sung-Il Kim, the department chair, and enjoyed a memorable time together. 🏨

Professors Kwon Sang-jin and Lim Sung-hoon, who transferred to new positions as of March 1st, each donated 4 million won to the department. These funds will be used to create a meeting space in the graduate student lounge. Thank you! 🙏
